The Nile Basin Discourse is keen on increasing the voices of stakeholders and especially vulnerable communities in difficult to reach geographic regions. On this basis, July 31st 2015 saw the NBD signing a MoU with NBI’s Eastern Nile Technical Regional Office (ENTRO); that entails nine understandings focussing on strengthening stakeholder consultations and communication in the Eastern Nile member states of Egypt, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Sudan.

With immediate effect, NBD is playing a key role towards inclusivity of the stakeholder and community voices as ENTRO prepares the inception report of the BARO AKOBO SOBAT multipurpose water resources development study.
