Nile Basin Discourse (NBD) received a special invitation to participate and present 3 papers in the 7th World Water Forum, Daegu & Gyeongbuk 2015 - "Water for our future".
NBD is represented by the Regional Manager, DR. HELLEN NATU, NBD chairperson, Mr. HABIYAREMBYE JEAN BAPTISTE and NBD Secretary General Mr. LEONARD KASONGI.

The NBD regional Manager is to participate among panelists who will present in a session entitled “Cooperation for Reducing Conflict and improving Trans-boundary Water Management in Africa “. The session will be chaired by by Mister Hocine NEelB, Minister of the water resources of Algeria and AMCaW Vice-president. Dr. Natu is among other panelists including - Mr. Kabiné Komara High Commissioner, OMVS, Mr. Crispin MUNODAWAFA, CEO, Zambezi River Authority, Mr. Simon Sakibede, Secrétaire Général CICOS, Mr. Mahika Mathieu, President, Green Cross-Ivory Coast; Mr. Thomas Chiramba, Chief, Freshwater Ecosystems Unit, Division of Environmental Policy Implementation (DEPI) UNEP; Mrs. Tracy MOLEFI Ministry MEWR Botswana, ANBO/RAOB President.

Under roundtables format, it is expected that participants will discuss on the role of Trans-boundary basin organizations in structuring water management cooperation in Africa and on the incentives from civil society and international organizations to foster trans-boundary water management in Africa. The 7th edition of the world’s largest water event will gather participants from the international water community: academics, research institutions, enterprises, professional networks, governments and policy-makers, IGOs and NGOs, as well as representatives from various fields such as agriculture, food or energy.
